My name is Alex and if you haven't guessed by now, I'm the author of The Flying Kayak. As an avid outdoorsman, I've spent most of my life pursuing anything and everything outdoor related. With a degree in Wildlife Ecology and Conservation from the University of Florida, I've spent much of my career in wildlife research. Though I love the research field, I have realized I actually enjoy sharing the outdoors with others even more in the form of guiding and writing. From leading eco-tours through the Florida Everglades, to guiding Elk hunts in Colorado, I've grown to love sharing outdoor experiences with other enthusiasts. I currently live in Montana where I continue enjoy the outdoor career field.
